They are indeed. I love them and always stand in awe of such curves in architecture, like some people might stare wide-eyed into a storefront selling chocolate!

next on line, been with friends the whole day. the ancients who did not have the advantage of steel and reinforced concrete used curves to built spectacular structures

I know, the Romans were pretty adept at creating some incredible structures, viaducts like the one in Segovia, Spain which towers above the landscape, full of arches.
