In the interest of keeping to the theme of this week’s challenge, here’s another not very relaxed but most beautiful of bugs caught between wing-beats. Incidentally I have been chasing the huge yellow and blue Tigertail butterflies all year in the hope of getting a good shot. They dance around in the air in very erratic patterns, like big Chinese paper birds, and they are seldom still, so this was a rare capture indeed. Possibly even more rare, was the fact that this fellow happened also to be completely intact. No tattered wings, and all colours showing. Now I can breathe out and relax in the knowledge that my mission is complete.
