My Choice

I who owe my life to thee,

Indebted for the life I lead,

Am here to speak of truths unknown,

By those who walk their paths alone.

Freedom beckons, as freedom brings,

The words I say, to help me sing,

To those who listen open-eyed;

With wakeful ears, a choice descried.

For here, I lend my song to you;

The choice must be: that you must choose.

    1. Thank you Christopher. Yes I realised on reading it again today that it was fairly ambiguous in its meaning, but I know that was the intention when I wrote it so many years ago.
